CSE/R Course
Service Description
This is a classroom-based 1-day LSS-certified course in confined space entry and rescue available at SFM regularly. If you have to enter, monitor, or rescue from a confined space for work you need training in the unique hazards of those environments. Confined and restricted spaces pose a serious risk of injury or death in case of accidents or untrained entry. In this course, you will learn the theory and skills to keep both you and your co-workers safe. Course Content Confined spaces can conceal atmospheric hazards, entrapment, engulfment, and many other dangers. Rescue from these spaces is often slow, technical, and difficult. Course topics include the following: Definition and hazards of confined spaces Use of SCBA or SABA Legislative standards and regulations Code of practice in confined spaces Entry authorization (confined space entry permit) Use of detection equipment Proper cleaning and purging Adequate ventilation Lock-out and blanking off procedures Role of stand-by worker (safety watch) On-site work requirements Prerequisites and PPE You don’t need to complete any other courses or have any prior experience to enroll in this course.
